Trauma-InformedBreathwork
Breathwork has been an interest of mine for several years, and I have experienced various methods through different practitioners. But I have to say, the type of Breathwork I decided to receive my certification in is the most powerful I have experienced.
Called Consicous-Connected Breathing, or Circular Breathing, CCB Breathwork can create dynamic shifts in our physiology (body and nervous system) and altered states of consciousness.
Because of the active continuous breathing method, it mobilizes the tissues of the body, shifts us out of conscious mind patterns, and can discharge what is stuck in our physical and emotional bodies. It offers the potential of profound healing and transformation, especially when practised reguarly. The advice is, keep breathing!
How is it trauma-informed? This comes from my professional experience and training in working with all types of trauma and dysregulation. While this type of Breathwork is not suitable for everyone, it can create immense change in a system that is stuck.
Breathwork is a somatic therapy! Because it directly engages the nervous system and body, it can be a powerful addition to a therapeutic program.
I combine these Breathwork group sessions with a Buffalo Drum .. together they offer a powerful combination for the body and soul.

What has to be taught first, is the breath. ~Confucius
